Strong Heart Montes…NH Nonghyup Card Wins 3rd consecutive victory over Blue One
The true value of “Spanish rookie” Antonio Montes (NH Nonghyup Card) is being shown in the PBA team league. He saved the team from the crisis with his unique calm just before the defeat of “Reverse Sweep.”
NH Nonghyup Card won a new set-score 4-3 against Blue One Resort in the second day of the third round of the “Welcome Savings Bank PBA Team League 2023-2024 Season” held at Goyang KINTEX PBA Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do on the 15th. Even after winning the first three sets, they were on the verge of defeat, but Montes beat Um Sang-pil in the sixth set to lead the team to victory.

In the last seven sets, Blue One was played by “leader” Um Sang-pil, and NH Nonghyup Card was played by “PBA Rookie of the Year” Montes last season. Eom Sang-pil led 9-6 first with three points in the fourth inning while facing 6-6 until the third inning. Montes, however, calmly accumulated the score with his unique calmness. Including his first attack bank shot, he ended the 11-9 game with five points of “finishing high-run.”
As a result, NH Nonghyup Card won all of Blue One Resort until the third round of this season, proving its “natural enemy” with three consecutive wins, and running for two consecutive wins in the third round. Blue One Resort, on the other hand, swallowed its disappointment just before its second consecutive win.
In other games, High1 Resort and Hana Card won SK Rent-a-Car and SY side by side with a set score of 4-1, 4-2 and ran for two consecutive wins in the third round. Crown Haitai defeated Welcome Savings Bank 4-2, thanks to Lim Jung-sook and Baek Min-joo’s two wins side by side.
